
The cost of a night out in Ireland could soon soar to unaffordable levels, as the price of a single pint could rise to €10 in some places in the near future, according to economists.
According to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the current average price for a pint of stout is €5.13.
But once recent energy hikes and other increases to the cost of living are factored in, it’s not unthinkable that some establishments begin charging €10, or close to it, over the coming weeks and months.
