A steel border wall on the Poland / Belarus border has finally been sealed. The wall is 5.5 metres high (18ft) and was erected to stop immigrants from the MIDDLE EAST and AFRICA from entering Poland from Belarus.
The steel border wall stretches along 115 miles (186km) of Poland’s border with Belarus, and electronic surveillance systems are yet to be installed.
According to SkyNews, a state of emergency has prevented journalists and human rights workers from visiting the border wall. Belarus became an increasingly used migration route into the EU after Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko began encouraging would-be asylum seekers in the Middle East and Africa to come to Minsk.
