
Police in the North have confirmed that a convicted murderer is at large after escaping from prison yesterday afternoon.
Thomas Valliday (27) who was being held at Maghaberry prison, escaped after he managed to evade prison service staff whilst he was attending the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald yesterday afternoon.
Valliday a violent criminal was sentenced to 17 years in prison after he was convicted of murdering a man in west Belfast in 2008. A spokesman for the PSNI say that he is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
