Hot on the heels of the European Union vote to introduce Vaccine Passports for EU travellers going between countries, UK and EU governments are now looking at introducing a requirement for VAX Passports that prove a person has been vaccinated to gain access to venues like pubs and stadiums, as well as allowing holidaymakers to travel more freely.

But Tim Martin, chairman of the Weatherspoons pub chain has warned that Covid Passports for the hospitality sector will force hospitality staff into a “bitter civil liberties war”reports the Metro.
Mr Martin said “It would inevitably put pub staff in the frontline of a bitter civil liberties war, with some customers unwilling to be vaccinated or unable to have a jab for medical reasons.”
UKHospitality, a trade association has also warned against the use of such a scheme, saying it could create a ‘two-tier system’ that stops people who haven’t had the jab from returning to venues.
