Public has had enough with their entitled attitude – Ukrainians demand right to return to “war ravaged” homeland for Christmas holidays

Public frustration with the ongoing refugee crisis has reached a boiling point after it was revealed that the government is already rowing back on its new protocol publicised on October 7th which forbids refugees from leaving their State-provided accommodation unless it was under “exceptional circumstances”.

Now, Minister Roderick O’Gorman’s Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth has is considering allowing Ukrainian refugees to travel over Christmas as many want to return to their “war ravaged” homeland for holidays.

The Liberal.ie can report that it has received information from public servants working as part of the government’s response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis that many Ukrainians have returned home for holidays and even to receive medical treatments.

Some younger Ukrainians, accommodated in more rural areas, have even returned home out of boredom at their vicissitude.

This news comes after it was recently revealed that Ukrainian refugees in Ireland enjoy the most generous social welfare allowances in the world with the closest country to Ireland, Finland offering them only half the weekly payment they are spoiled with here.

This is despite the fact that Ukrainians in Ireland are entitled to work while also not expected to contribute anything to accommodation or meal costs while also availing of free healthcare, travel and education, up to and including university level.
