The public service committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions will meet with the Government this morning to discuss pay rises within the public sector.
The increase was due to come in on September 2017, but may be implemented as soon as March or April according to the Irish Times.
Approximately €1,000 per annum will be added to public sector salaries.
