Those visiting the beach have been advised to proceed with caution as the Lion’s Mane jellyfish has been spotted off the Dublin coast.
In a post on Twitter Fingal County Council revealed that the jellyfish had been spotted in Malahide and Low Rock over the weekend.
The warning comes as the venomous jellyfish has also been reportedly seen Ardmore in Waterford.
The Lion’s Mane can easily pierce a human’s skin and cause a number of symptoms such as headaches and nausea.
