Puppy love: ISPCA rescues 90 dogs found in unsuitable environments at puppy farm

There has been a positive outcome for 90 dogs rescued from a puppy farm.

ISPCA staff raided the premises and were shocked at the state of some of the animals. It is understood that the dogs were kept in concrete pens and were “caked in their own faeces”.

Many animals suffered from skin conditions, eye and teeth problems that required immediate medical attention.

All animals rescued were under three years of age. The breeds include Maltese, Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu, Jack Russell and Pomeranian breeds.

Anyone who may have information about illegal puppy farms, or has suspicions of animal cruelty, is encouraged to contact the ISPCA National Animal Cruelty Helpline on 1890 515 515 or report online at iscpa.ie.
