Putting their foot down: Government demand Irish public thinks twice about their actions now to stop Covid-19 spread over Christmas

The Taoiseach Micheal Martin, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar the Green Party’s Eamon Ryan are putting their foot down on the Irish public and demanding that people toe the line in relation to the rules and regulations issued from NPHET and the Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan.

The Government are urging the public to restrict their movements now if they are planning on visiting family members over Christmas.

They say that it won’t be sufficient for people to reduce social contacts just a few days before Christmas.

The government says people must think about their actions now as they would be unable to visit family over the Christmas period.

They say that we don’t want to be in a position where we see a spike in Covid-19 in January.
