The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar could once again be in serious trouble from attacks from all quarters over a so-called “leak” of a governmental document while he was still the Taoiseach.
Varadkar had completely denied any wrongdoing and said that an article released by the Village Magazine alleged Varadkar leaked a government document that was confidential at the time but apologised in the Dail saying that he was only acting in the interest of getting the contract passed and getting a buy in from all GPs.
RTE reports that Simon Harris has given the gardai a written statement in relation to the incident with RTE reporting that Harris is not implicated in any wrongdoing.
