The DSPCA are appealing for information after a dog was abandoned on the M50 motorway on Wednesday.
According to Radio Nova, the appeal comes after a woman witnessed the shameful act whilst driving along the busy stretch of road on Wednesday.
It is understood the dog which is a female cross terrier breed was left on the hard shoulder near the Red Cow Junction before the thoughtful motorist picked her up and handed her into the DSPCA.
The DSPCA say the dog which has been now named Tina is in good health and is being looked after by staff.
Although the DSPCA say the animal was uninjured in the incident, they say the situation could have been a whole lot worse especially since the dog was carelessly and heartlessly abondened near a busy motorway.
