Authorities in Morroco have launched a major investigation after a 17-year-old was brutally abused and gang-raped by a group of 13 men.
In what can only be described as a horrific case of mental and physical abuse, the young girl was subjected to repeated counts of sexual and physical abuse by her captors.
The girl who was found over a month after she vanished in the town of Olad Ayad, Morocco, was repeatedly raped and physically harmed by the group who kidnapped her.
It is understood the girl was also repeatedly burned with cigarettes and was then covered with a number of swatsika and insulting tattoos before her captors decided to let her go.
Police say the horrific crime was only reported after the brave victim summoned up the courage to inform police despite her initial fears of believing they would not believe her story.
Officers investigating the case which has been described as one of the worst ever scene in the region, say eight of the accused have been arrested, whilst the search for the remaining five attackers is currently ongoing.
They also say physiological treatment has also been offered to the victim who is said to be in deep distress following the vicious attack.
