Really? Micheál Martin claims the high uptake of Covid-19 injections in Ireland is due to “the robust debate within society which has been facilitated by media”

The Taoiseach and Fianna Fail leader has claimed the high uptake of Covid-19 injections in Ireland is due to “the robust debate within society which has been facilitated by media”.

He made the statement whilst calling for parents to get their children injected to “protect them against new strains of Covid-19”

Micheál Martin said “‘My own view is that so far, Ireland as a people – and I pay tribute to the robust debate within society which has been facilitated by media – it has tended to land, I think, in a very centre ground of opinion which I think has informed the very high take-up of the vaccination so far amongst the adult population, according to Extra.ie

Mr Martin said that different facilities will be made available where children will get their jabs.
Many within the Irish community who have refused to be injected seem to be taking a “wait and see” approach to the Covid-19 injections whilst they weigh up the benefits and risks themselves.
