Whirlpool has issued an urgent recall notice for hundreds of thousands of tumble dryers due to a high risk of fire.
The recall includes a number of models of Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda, Swan, and Proline dryers manufactured between 2004 and 2015. It is understood that the internal design of these machines may allow for flammable material to come into contact with heating elements. The company estimates that about 465,000 machines in the UK may be affected.
