Recent survey reveals that four out five women do not wash everyday

According to recent survey its understood that Four out of five women do not wash every day and a minority can go for up to three days without having a shower.

The study which was conducted throughout the UK and Ireland revealed that only 21% of women took a shower or bath every day and more than one third admitting that they often went as long as three days between each wash. The study also revealed that 63% of women do not remove their make up before going to sleep, whilst one in eight do not brush their teeth on a daily basis. The survey was conducted by the UK skincare range Flint + Flint who asked over 2000 women on their bathing rituals, the study revealed that after work tiredness and the want of a longer snooze in the morning were the most common reasons for women not keeping up their personal hygiene .

The survey also revealed that 89% of women do wish they had better hygiene overall. However the  survey did find that 92% of women do understand the importance of a good skin care routine. Meanwhile the owner of Flint + Flint Maxine Flint said: “I understand the appeal of a lie-in but skipping a morning wash is both anti-social for the people around us and unhealthy.

“We are talking about routines that literally take minutes out of your day. It’s true that today’s pace of life is fast but surely as a nation we haven’t become too busy to wash.”We were alarmed to hear about the number of women not looking after their skin by following basic skin care regimes.

She went onto say: “It is so important to clean your face daily and moisturise to slow down the ageing process.” “Furthermore, the majority of women know the importance of following a skin care routine but they still aren’t doing it.”
