The government has recommended that secondary school teachers and students wear a face mask if a physical distance of 2 metres cannot be adhered to when schools reopen.
The Ministry of Education published the updated recommendations after working with teachers, school principals and other key players in the field of education.
The updated notice was provided by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre and may be rolled out across the country at the start of the school year.
The department confirmed that all primary and secondary school teachers must wear face masks when they cannot maintain a social distance of 2 metres.
