Regulator fines Bank of Ireland €750,000 over data breaches

The regulator has fined Bank of Ireland €750,000 over data breaches.

The Data Protection Commission (DPC) issued the fine following multiple investigations into the bank’s failures to protect customer data.

At least 136 accounts were affected when the bank mistakenly enabled some customers access to other people’s accounts.
