Revenue officers had a busy weekend, in which they seized over €60k ‘intended for criminal activity,’ plus some assorted contraband.

Yesterday, Sunday, officers stopped and searched two Romanian men who were about to board a plane in Dublin Airport. Officers seized a total of €63,750 which was suspected to be destined for criminal activity elsewhere.
Officers also seized 355 litres of alcohol and 3,200 cigarettes branded “Winston”, “Kent” and “Pall Mall” in a different operation.
