Former Top Gear and present “Grand Tour” presenter Richard Hammond, is said to be recovering well today in hospital following a horror crash in Switzerland.
Hammond’s wife is said to be by his bedside again after he survived an almost life ending crash back in 2006 whilst filming for Top Gear.
According to local media, Hammond was driving a white Rimac Concept One electric sports super car, on a road that was closed for the Bergrennen Hemberg race, when the vehicle caught fire.
Emergency services rushed the popular presenter to a local hospital where he is currently being treated for a fractured kneecap.
Co-presenter Jeremy Clarkson said that it was the “worst crash he’d ever seen but thankfully Richard is mostly ok”.
