
A new opinion poll indicates increased support for both Independent Ireland and AontĂș.
The Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks survey places Independent Ireland at 9%, representing a three-point rise compared to the previous poll in April, reports RTE.
Support for AontĂș has also increased by one point to 7%, bringing the combined backing of the two parties to 16%.

Representatives from both Independent Ireland and AontĂș were among those who addressed fuel protests held last month, reports RTE.
The poll suggests a decline in support for Fianna FĂĄil, which has dropped by two points to 17%, while Taoiseach MicheĂĄl Martinâs approval rating has fallen by six points among respondents.
Fine Gaelâs support remains unchanged at 17%, reports RTE.
Sinn Féin continues to lead in the poll, holding steady at 22%.
The Social Democrats stand at 9%, Labour is at 4%, the Green Party at 3%, and Solidarity/People Before Profit at 2%, reports RTE.
The poll was conducted yesterday using an SMS survey of 1,774 adults.
It has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.4%, reports RTE.
Political parties are expected to closely examine the results ahead of this monthâs by-elections in Dublin Central and Galway West, although such contests do not always reflect national polling trends.
