Official figures from the Irish government show that some 10,514 people in emergency accommodation in October. Shockingly, these figures are up by 117 since the same time in September.
Figures show there were 6,688 adults, 1,733 families and 3,826 children in emergency accommodation in October.
According to RTE, the Department of Housing claims that there was a decrease of 23 families and 47 children in comparison to September’s figures but the figures truly remain startling.
