Two rival gangs came close to an all-out confrontation inside a shopping centre in the capital on Saturday evening, according to the Irish Mirror.
The incident happened at the Kilbarrack Shopping Centre in Dublin 5, gardai reported.
A six-strong contingent of one of the gangs entered the premises armed with sticks and poles, reportedly searching for two members of a rival gang suspected of harassing local youths in recent weeks.
Gardai intervened and managed to separate the two groups before hostilities broke out in earnest. No injuries were reported.
