Two people sustained serious injuries after being involved in a road crash involving four vehicles on the N4 near Roscommon earlier today.

It is understood that a truck jacknifed and struck three nearby vehicles.
Weather conditions may have played a part in the accident, as there were icy patches on the road.
The injured were rushed to Sligo University Hospital.
