The grim statistics of road deaths keep increasing, after a man in his 40s died after being struck by an SUV in Drogheda last night.
The incident happened on the Slane Road (N51), Drogheda, Co Louth, last night.
A pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was hit by an SUV. The driver did remain at the scene.
The victim was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
