Road carnage continues today, as a young man sadly lost his life after being hit by a car.
The incident happened near the village of Strokestown at around 5am today. It is understood the victim was walking on the N5 road when he has hit.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, died at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to University Hospital Sligo for treatment, though his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
