The tragic trend of road carnage continues today, following the death of an elderly man in a single-vehicle crash on an Irish road.
The incident happened near the village of Killaneen, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, at around 11am. The victim, a male in his 70s, was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The deceased was the only occupant of the car.
