Road tragedies continue as man dies in three car collision




A man in his 70s has sadly died after a three-vehicle collision in County Kerry.

The incident occurred around 5:30pm on Wednesday evening on the N21 near Knockbrack between Castleisland and Abbeyfeale.

The man driving was taken to Kerry University Hospital in Tralee, where he later died.

The driver and a passenger who was travelling in one of the other vehicles were also taken to Tralee Hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The road is closed this morning pending a forensic investigation. Gardaí in Listowel urged anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.

They want to talk to those who were passing through the region on the N21 between 5:15pm and 5:45pm. Gardaí have also asked anyone who may have camera footage, including dash cams, to provide it.
