Dublin’s Roderic O’Gorman has been given the position of Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration.
O’Gorman, who campaigned hard for Repeal, has become the first openly gay man to engage the position.
He has taken over the position from outgoing Minister for Children Katherine Zappone, who incidentally was also the first openly gay woman to engage the position.
Green Party O’Gorman is said to be already working on hate crime legislation which many people feel is anti free speech legislation.
