Roscommon GAA ruthlessly mocked after picture of “Ukrainian refugees” at Dr Hyde Park goes viral

There has been mass, international mocking of Roscommon GAA after the county’s Twitter account posted a picture of supposed “Ukrainian” refugees posing for a picture in Dr. Hyde Park.

The picture features several young people with some obviously being of non-Ukrainian origins.

This isn’t the first time such a picture has gone viral around the world giving people the opportunity to poke fun at the misplaced and naïve altruism of the Irish government and people in throwing open the borders to Ukrainian refugees no questions asked.

A picture of the first family of refugees from Ukraine being housed in Bundoran, Co. Donegal shows an African family with at least one fighting aged man while a video taken by activist Philip Dwyer of supposed Ukrainian refugees arriving at Dublin Airport shows fighting aged South Asian men.

One video by social satirist Paul Joseph Watson, and has already been seen by millions in just a few hours. points out the ludicrousness of the Irish government’s policy of welcoming over 200,000 “Ukrainian” refugees with no criminal, security or background checks of any kind.
