The route for Cork’s Luas network is to be announced in July.
The project’s initial cost is set to €1bn, though it will probably end up costing ten times as much and be delivered a decade later than it was supposed to.
The proposed Cork Luas would run from Ballincollig on the western outskirts to Mahon Point on the eastern side of the city.
