This dividend coincides with the successful launch of The Tommy Tiernan Show on RTÉ and the podcast he co-hosts with Hector O’Eochagain and Laurita Blewitt, which is heard by over 20 million people.
Mabinog Ltd’s accounts show that cash reserves nearly tripled last year from €635,927 to €1.64 million.
The directors’ payment to the Tiernans helped annual profits more than halve from €123,812 to €56,503. At the end of December last year, the company had an accumulated loss of 39,430 euros, reports The Mirror.
The Tommy Tiernan show, praised for its unconventional format, concluded a 12-week run in March with guests including former soccer star Roy Keane, news quiz host Dara O’Brien and actress Denise Gough.
Separate accounts filed by an affiliate, Mabinog Publishing Ltd, show the company posted an after-tax profit of €124,747 last year, after a profit of €105,567 in 2021, reports The Mirror.
