Rumours are rife that Leftist group is planning Black Lives Matter protest at Blanchardstown Centre today

The Liberal has been made aware of a protest that is rumoured to take place later today in Dublin’s Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. There is nothing official released but a number of sources have informed us that it is going ahead as planned.

As riots and looting rage in cities across the United States following the death of an African American man in police custody the anti-racism protests have become international with demonstrations now planned in Ireland.

A leftist, anti-racism group are supposedly planning to hold a demonstration in solidarity with protestors in the United States at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre on Monday June 1st at 1PM with larger protest planned for June 8th, according information circulating online.

In the information circulating on social media the protest titled “No Justice, No Peace” Calls for supporters of the Black Lives Matter organisation to rally at Blanchardstown Centre beside the library and for attendees to bring “face masks, water and signs”.

In the information provided about the protest the organisers call on “all POC (people of colour) in Ireland to come together so we could peacefully protest on this situation and let our voices be heard”.
