Russia points to the sky and tells everyone that a radioactive cloud is drifting westwards after they claimed to have bombed an Ukrainian site where depleted uranium ordnance was being kept -depleted uranium is a dense metal that cannot form clouds, everyone laughs

Russia is this evening pointing to the sky and telling everyone that a radioactive cloud is drifting westwards after they claimed to have bombed a Ukrainian site where depleted uranium ordnance was being stored.

Problem is, depleted uranium is a dense metal that cannot form clouds, so everyone is sort of laughing at the Russian authorities’ sheer ignorance. You can actually touch depleted uranium with your bare hands without suffering any ill effects.

There is also no evidence whatsoever that Russia has struck anywhere where depleted uranium ammunition is being kept. In fact, these powerful projectiles, which are designed to pierce through armor, will soon be used to reduce the few remaining decades-old tanks to dust, along with their unfortunate crews.

US-built A-10 Warthog close air support aircraft have used depleted uranium rounds fired from its awesome GAU-8 cannon for decades. This combination proved devastating for Iraqi armor during the Gulf War, for example.
