Russia would not have invaded Ukraine had Trump still been in office, many Americans believe

Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if Donald Trump had still been President of the United States a majority of Americans believe according to a new poll with many experts and pundits agreeing with the assessment.

The poll, conducted by Harvard-Harris found that 62 percent of Americans believe that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if Donald Trump were still in the Oval Office. As former senior intelligence officials under President Trump, we agree with that view the Federalist reported.

Intelligence and military experts point to the fact that Russia invaded George in 2008 while George W. Bush was in office while it annexed the Crimea and backed Russia separatists in Ukraine while Obama was President.

However, during Donald Trump’s tenure as POTUS, Russia, China and others were discouraged from aggressive behavior for fear of provoking the wrath of the maverick leader.
