Two Russian Su-27 warplanes chased away a NATO F-16 jet over neutral waters in the Baltic Sea.
The Su-27 fighters, flying on escort duty alongside a plane carrying Russian’s Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, chased the F-16 away as it tried to approach the high-ranking official’s aircraft.
The minister was en route to the city of Kaliningrad, a western Russian enclave located between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea.
No official statement about the incident has yet been released.
