Ryanair plane forced to make emergency diversion after small boy spills scalding tea on himself

A 9-yr-old child spilt hot tea on himself, forcing a Ryanair flight to make an emergency detour, reports The Mirror.

The child unintentionally spilt the boiling liquid on himself on Tuesday when he was travelling from London to Brindisi, Italy. The plane had to make an emergency landing at Allgau Airport in Memmingen, Germany, because to the serious burns that resulted from it.

The pilot is reported to have alerted the passengers of the issue and told the crew to get ready for an unscheduled landing. Memmingen Airport had a minor disturbance following the landing as schedules were adjusted to make room for the aircraft, reports The Mirror.

A doctor determined that the nine-year-old youngster had third-degree burns, according to the local police. He was hauled from the aircraft and transferred by helicopter to the hospital.

According to a police inquiry, the youngster “scalded himself through carelessness” and the event “was not the fault of a third party”.

The hypodermis, the deepest layer of the skin, is one of the three layers that are affected by a third-degree, or “full thickness,” burn, reports The Mirror.

The skin may seem burnt, black, white, or grey as a result. Skin grafts and other emergency medical care are frequently needed for this kind of burn.

Departures and arrivals records show that Ryanair operated flight FR2475 on Tuesday according to their usual schedule between London Stansted and Brindisi airport, reports The Mirror.
