It has been reported late last night that next week’s scheduled strike action by nurses in emergency departments will go ahead after talks between the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation and Health Service management broken down.
The strike will now go ahead after both parties failed to reach an agreement over the ongoing row relating to severe overcrowding at emergency departments.
The scheduled strike is due to take place on December 15 with further strikes expected in January.
