Scorcher in Carlow as temperatures top 26C on Monday ahead of another warm week across the country





The country is currently experiencing glorious sunshine along with sweltering temperatures that is surely making a week to remember for many Irish people and today was no expectation as the country seen temperatures topping 26C.

According to Met Eireann Oak Park in Co Carlow was hottest place in the country today with a thermometers hitting 26 degrees, although it was not the highest temperature of the week as Dublin’s Phoenix Park seen temperatures reaching 26.8C.

However the good weather doesn’t like it is over just yet as the National Forcaster has said the rest of the week will be mainly warm and humid with the Midlands experiencing the best of the weather on Tuesday with temperature sensor expected to be in the mid 20s, whilst coastal araes will be slightly cooler with temperatures in the low 20s.

Meanwhile Wednesday is set to be another scorcher with temperatures expected to reach 26C in most places with plenty sunshine throughout. 

Met Eireann say Thursday will see a turn in the weather as heavy showers are expected with thunder and lightning in some places although it will still be fairly warm and humid with temperatures set to remain under the extensive cloud cover.
