Scorcher: Ireland and the UK could be set for a heatwave as temperatures are expected to rise next week




Ireland and the UK could be set for some glorious weather next week as forecasters are predicting that temperatures will rise into the low to mid 20s.

According to The Express newspaper, both Britain and Ireland could experience sizzling temperatures from the end of next week.

The Express reports that wxcharts show that a warm front is expected to move up from the south and will remain over Ireland and Britain during the weekend beginning on Friday May 22nd.

Latest indications suggest that temperatures will rise to as high as 26C in parts of the UK, whilst Ireland could also see temperatures in the low to mid 20s.

Meanwhile Met Eireann have confirmed that warmer weather will occur across Ireland over the next week as temperatures are expected to reach the high teens on Monday.

The National forecaster also say that for the most part next week will remain largely dry with plenty of sunshine throughout.

However they added that it is not yet known how high temperatures will reach.
