California’s ‘Death Valley’ may have seen the highest temperature seen on Earth, the BBC reports.
On Sunday a scorching temperature of 54.4 degrees celsius (130F) was recorded in the national park in the midst of a heat wave that saw two days of electrical blackouts on America’s west coast. Analysts are working to confirm the staggering temperature.
Death Valley already holds the record for hottest Earth temperature, when a 54C heat was confirmed in 2013.
