Scorchio: Hottest day of the year to land this week as temps up to 29c approach

When it comes to the weather, we are often happy to let it go. We moan when it rains too much, and when the temperature gets too hot, we complain that it’s gotten too hot and next week might be for some.

Ireland has recently been hit by a heatwave which has brought sunny weekends with wonderful periods of high temperatures sometimes reaching 25°C, reports The Mirror.

Met Éireann has provided a more conservative weather forecast for the period in its long-term forecast covering the period from June 9 to 15.

The forecaster predicted: “The coming week will bring a subtle change to the weather pattern over Ireland after a prolonged dry and settled period. Weather conditions will turn somewhat more changeable with an increased likelihood of rain or showers at times. However, many areas will still receive only moderate rainfall totals with little relief from the drought or near-drought conditions. It looks set to be warmer than average nationwide with an easterly or southeasterly airflow continuing to dominate,” reports The Mirror.
