Homeless crisis? Trolley crisis? Housing crisis? Forget all that, Leo and the boys need their sun holidays and time off to attend their manicured gardens.
They won’t be seen anywhere near the Dail Eireann as they’ll be too busy relaxing, watching Netflix and watching the world go by.
The summer recess has officially gotten underway with Irish politicians including the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Minister for Health Simon Harris and Tanaiste Simon Coveney all getting a staggering 8 weeks holidays away from the public’s prying eyes.
Hard to take as it may be, it adds insult to injuries to think that private workers are lucky to get one or two weeks off a summer and likewise at Christmas, if they’re lucky.
So keep an eye out in your locality for “your man, or your one” who you see from time to time on the news spinning around town in their swanky car – you have about 2 months to say hi!
