Serial killer Peter Sutcliffe has died in hospital after contracting Covid-19, aged 74.
The infamous ‘Yorkshire Ripper’, who was arrested in 1981 following a murderous spree throughout the 1970s, had suffered from ill health for several years, and initially refused treatment for coronavirus. He was taken to University Hospital of North Durham, where he died earlier today.
Sutcliffe brutally killed 13 women during the 1970s, and is known to have attacked at least 9 more. He was sentenced to life in prison in 1981.
