British police arrested seven people during the ‘Kill the Bill’ protest that turned violent in Bristol on Sunday.
Protesters had gathered to demonstrate against police being granted more powers to tackle peaceful protests. The event ended with police vans torched and no fewer than twenty officers injured, two of them seriously.
The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson referred to the violence as ‘unacceptable.’
