Pogue singer Shane McGowan’s funeral will be held in his home county of Tipperary on Friday, reports RTE.
Funeral Mass is open to the public and will take place at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Nenagh.
The musician regularly returned to Tipperary and was a frequent visitor to Philly Ryan’s pub in Nenagh, reports RTE.
Across the street from the pub, The Undertaker, JJ Ryans and Philly Ryan will officiate at the funeral.
Mr McGowan’s father Maurice lives in the Nenagh area and his sister Siobhan lives near Drominier, reports RTE.
