“She must go” – Calls for Helen McEntee’s resignation in wake of latest tourist beating in Dublin city centre

There are new calls for Justice Minister Helen McEntee to resign after US tourist Stephen Termini was beaten up leading to the United States Embassy issuing a safety warning for Americans visiting Dublin.

Not only that but three British tourists were badly beaten up in Temple Bar on Friday night.

The warning, which advises U.S Citizens visiting the Irish capital to safeguard valuables, such as credit cards and passports, and refrain from carrying large amounts of cash, was issued after the brutal assault on American tourist Stephen Termini.

Mr. Termini currently remains in intensive care in Beaumont Hospital while three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the beating.

In the aftermath of the attack there are calls for the government to refocus their efforts in terms of law and order legislation towards tackling violent crime, drug use and anti-social behaviour plaguing Irish cities rather than their current focus of passing an overtly Orwellian speech control law.
