When it comes to shearing sheep, only an Irishman can have no equal.

Donegal man Ivan Scott has been crowned new King of the Sheep after managing to shear the respectable figure of 867 lambs in nine hours.

Taking to the task with the zest of a true sheep professional and sporting cold and steely determination to shear his way to glory, Scott averaged 96.33 lambs every hour, or one every 37.37 seconds during the grueling performance. According to uncorroborated reports, his shearing tool became red hot and raged with the anger of Mjolnir towards the end.

In the aftermath, the Irishman stood among a quaking pile made out of millions of sheep fur as the judges looked on, admiring his handywork. He wiped the sweat from his brow and smiled, proud of his achievement.
