Ireland’s Katie Taylor is taking on the fight of her life tonight in a rematch against former world champion Delfine Persoon.
It’s essentially Champion vs Champion is a winner takes all match in Eddie Hearn’s “Matchroom Square Garden.”
The brave Bray woman, who has previously stated that she is looking forward to the challenge of the rematch, weighed in at 134.6 pounds.
Meanwhile Persoon who is also looking to make history by beating Taylor came in 130.6 pounds well under the 135lbs limit.
The WBA, IBF and WBO champion just about did enough to get the win in their first encounter but says that she’s ready to win in a better style this time out.
Katie will take on her opponent in a joint main event with Dillian Whyte taking on Alexander Povetkin.
All the action gets underway on Sky Box Office from 7pm Irish time with Katie due to fight around 9pm and Whyte around 10:30pm.
