
There is deep sorrow and disbelief in Rosenallis and across Laois following the death of Enda McEvoy, reports Laois Today.
Enda, an electrician in his mid-30s, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, at St James’ Hospital in Dublin, with his devoted family by his side.
A dedicated member of Rosenallis GAA, Enda had recently played for the club in the opening round of the ACHL Division 4 against Clonad on March 23, reports Laois Today.
Prior to that, he served as goalkeeper for Rosenallis during the previous season in the Laois senior hurling championship.
In 2019, he contributed to Rosenallis’ triumph in the Laois SHC ‘A’ title, having earlier helped them secure the IHC title in 2016, reports Laois Today.
He also featured as full back in 2022 when the team won the Laois JHC ‘B’ final against Clough-Ballacolla.
Enda was a cherished figure in Rosenallis, where his uplifting spirit left a lasting impression on many.
He was predeceased by his beloved mother Dorothy and his baby sister, reports Laois Today.
He leaves behind his loving father Sean, brothers Richard, Michael, and Shane, sister-in-law Ann, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and numerous friends who will deeply miss him.
