There are some shocking news this morning, as two deer were found shot in the Slane area of Co. Meath earlier today. One of the animals had been decapitated.
The second deer was still alive when it was found, though it had to be put down due to the extent of its injuries.
It is understood that there has been a spike in poaching activity in the area in recent weeks.
Gardai are asking for people who may have information about this shocking incident to come forward.
